Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka was born in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. Sergey Her father (who passed away in the year 2019), was an ice-hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born Minsk, Belarus on May 5 1998. Her career has seen her achieve twelve WTA singles titles, which includes a Grand Slam in the Australian Open in 2023. The doubles play she plays is superb and she has also won Majors during both the US Open (2019) and Australian Open (2021), both of which were in partnership with Elisemertens. The year she was born, she was the winner of two majors, the WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian Partner, who completed her Sunshine Double. Women's doubles only had four couples achieve this feat. Only four couples who were able to achieve this feat in women's doubles. As a doubles player, she was able to propel her way to the top at the beginning of February that year, following the win in Melbourne becoming thus the second tennis player born in Belarus to make it in this particular area. She was coached by the former Russian tennis champion Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the end of the 2019 season, and partially at the start of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann was her coach for short periods between August and September of 2020. Antonio Dubrov, her fellow nationman, has been her coach for the past few years, starting in 2020. Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova are her greatest idols.
